Recruitment of Teachers From CoE-2020



 The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) after receiving financial clearance to employ 16,850 teachers this year has opened the recruitment portal to recruit newly trained diploma teachers from Colleges of Education.


GES in a statement copied to EducationWeb.com.gh said only qualified trained teachers who completed the College of Education in 2020 (CoE) and passed the Ghana teacher licensure examination will be considered for recruitment.


“The Ghana Education Service (GES) is requesting applications from qualified trained teachers who completed College of Education in 2020 to be considered for recruitment by the following criteria;


1. Completed any of the 46 public College of Education and have no outstanding examination or referrals

2. Completed the mandatory national service

3. Passed the national teacher licensure examination

4. Ready to work wherever services are needed.”


Eligible and qualified applicants the Ghana Education Service (GES) has said are to visit the GES recruitment portal at https://gespromotions.gov.gh to complete an online application form on or before December 31, 2021.


Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister for Education Wednesday said the Service after recruiting the newly trained teachers from public Colleges of Education will also consider trained teachers from the private Colleges of Education.


He also said the Ministry of Education (MoE) is in talks with the Ministry of Finance (MoF) for financial clearance to recruit more graduate teachers in the next academic year to help improve education at the Senior High School level.

 

Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service (GES) is yet to communicate to members of the general public particularly graduates from private Colleges of Education the date to consider them for employment into service this year.
